I’m sure we all agree that learning is critically important. As learning professionals we have a responsibility to truly support learners to do their jobs better and to enable them to be ready for the future. Yet, we often make decisions based on beliefs, preferences, and opinions when we design learning interventions. This is not harmless, it might very well cause problems for the learners and the organizations they work in. We need to turn the tide and increase our knowledge on how the evidence we have from the learning sciences can make our designs more effective and efficient. I would like to invite you to this session so that you can start to: – Make better informed decisions by spotting strengths & weaknesses in claims around learning and training – Use effective learning tools, techniques, and ingredients in your design – Drive performance impact by using the evidence from the learning science to truly support people to do their jobs better today and in the future!
